Homecoming Dance and Football game...
November 20, 2010
Positive Outcomes Charter School was very excited to host our first Homecoming Dance ever. This dance was attended by over 70 people and was a great success. Special thanks goes to our Student Council Executive Board who made this event possible. Thank you Henry Coverdale, Felicia Cipparone, Lindsey Richardson and Troy Turner. Thanks also goes to everyone who provided food and decoration for the evening. Photos from the evening can be found here.
We were also excited to have participated in the first Homecoming football game at our school. Our new touch football team played a group of servicemen from the Dover Air Force Base. The game was close; however, the POCS team prevailed in a 31-28 close battle. Thanks to all of the servicemen who participated and to Coach Stiller and Coach Kobus who worked with our team preparing for this event. Photos from this event can be found here.
A quick view of who we are-
Positive Outcomes Charter School was founded in 1996 and provides educational opportunities for students who have experienced academic difficulty in a traditional school setting. For the past twelve years, we have served children from throughout the state of Delaware. Now 132 graduates of Positive Outcomes Charter School are living, working, and going to college in Delaware and nearby states. All of our graduates made progress and were able to salvage educational careers which had begun badly. Your child can, too. The staff at Positive Outcomes is knowledgeable about, and committed to, serving students who have been unsuccessful at other schools. Students select Positive Outcomes through an application process. This school seeks a cooperative working relationship with the traditional school districts and vocational school districts.
